Every event is unique, but the process I follow is pretty much the same, and covers a lot! I hope this helps you get a better sense of my overall process and what to expect when we work together!
It all starts with our first date. Your complimentary consultation takes place in a cafe, restaurant, or in the comfort of your own home via Skype or Phone, if you’re not local. This is where we we get to know each other and you tell me all about your love story and what means the most to you. We’ll talk about your vision, guest list, style profile, favorite things, and more! Be warned, I prefer to meet with both members of the lovely couple too!
The first step in any happy marriage is the proposal! Following your consultation, I share with you a custom proposal tailored specifically to your needs with different options for you to consider. Once your deposit and contract are received, the fun begins and the design phase kicks off!
I create a series of visual presentations that capture the vision of your wedding day and lay the foundation for the design of all the elements of your wedding, from the wardrobe selection for you and your bridal party, to the floral decor throughout and even the favors for your guests!
This includes a vision board that captures the overall mood and feel of your wedding, as well as a branding board that defines your color story, textures, and even fonts that can be used for your stationery and custom signs. I create a final presentation with curated images for each element of your design and styling of all the lovely details that make your wedding unique.
Once your vision has been translated into a custom design presentation, we’re ready to select your vendors! I’ll personally select the best vendor to bring your vision to life, to fit your style and personality. I’ll work with you to prioritize your budget and allocate it accordingly so that you spend it on what is most important to you. My relationship with the best in class vendors not only saves you time and stress, but also ensures your day is run seamlessly by a group of talented professionals who work great together!
After your vendors are booked, contracts are signed, and payments are made, it’s up to me to review all the fine print and make sure your services are what you signed up for. I prepare you for your big day by creating checklists, timelines, and more for your vendors and bridal party. I’m onsite to direct your vendors like a fine orchestra, to make sure everyone is on time and everything looks great and handle any issues that may arise on the spot, so that everything runs smoothly.
Eat, drink, and be married! On your wedding day, all you have to do is show up! Seriously, it’s your time to focus on celebrating your love with your family and friends while I work with my team to manage your vendors, style your photos and lovely details, and make sure your guests also experience the best day ever!
